LIGHT AND FUNCTIONAL

The C-03 Horizon Austral focuses on the essentials: lightness, reliability, and legibility. Grade 2 titanium was the obvious choice. Comfortable on the wrist, durable, and suitable for everyday wear as well as more demanding conditions. The dial, with its sandwich construction and well-balanced Super-LumiNova BGW9, remains perfectly legible day and night, without being overly bright. And because aviation is part of its DNA, the crown is shaped like a turbine. A subtle detail, but one that makes perfect sense.

Inspired by projects designed for military aviation, this 39 mm version incorporates the key requirements: reliability, robustness, and efficiency. The fixed, mirror-polished bezel adds a more formal touch, without betraying the collection's DNA. A watch made to last, at home in both professional and everyday environments.

RELIABLE AND ACCURATE

On the mechanical side, it's solid: a Swiss Soprod P024 automatic movement, finely adjusted in our workshop in Nantes and meticulously decorated. No assembly line production here. Each part is carefully monitored, tested, and adjusted. The goal: to ensure your watch runs perfectly from the start, and for a long time to come.

Sunburst blue sandwich dial, with indexes filled with Super-Luminova® BGW9 to provide exceptional readability day and night.

The rendering of Super-LumiNova varies depending on its color.
Lighter shades allow for faster charging and provide intense, long-lasting luminosity. Darker shades, on the other hand, produce a more subtle effect with a more moderate light intensity. Proper light exposure is essential to fully activate the luminescence.

The choice of color also responds to aesthetic considerations: it is often a question of finding the right balance between luminous performance and visual harmony. For watches whose specifications require maximum nighttime readability, white Super-LumiNova is generally preferred.

In this case, if we compare the intensity of the Luminova C-03, currently the most powerful on the market and therefore equivalent to 100% according to the LumiNova classification, the Luminova BG W9 used for this version offers a luminous efficiency of approximately 95%.

WATERPROOFING

Water-resistant to 100 m (10 ATM), this watch, designed for pilots and travelers, benefits from the expertise acquired during projects carried out with various elite units of the French army. A true operational pilot's watch, made in Akrone.

To avoid any damage due to water infiltration,use while swimming should be limited to watches with screw-down crowns, such as those designed for diving. Push-in crowns, used on aviation watches, can open accidentally, by getting caught on clothing for example. And in water, an opening crown is almost guaranteed to lead to water infiltration. Prevention is better than cure.

BRACELETS

FKM rubber strap equipped with quick release spring bars and a pin buckle matching the case color.

Optional titanium bracelet with quick pump (we also provide a tool so you can adjust the bracelet size)

Your watch comes with the main strap already installed (standard size suitable for a wrist of 16 to 19 cm). If you have selected the titanium strap option (to be checked when ordering), it is added to the package as an extra. A video tutorial is provided for adjusting the strap. No adjustments are made remotely.
