Report a loss, theft or resale

Declare a sale, purchase, loss, or theft

Each AKRONE watch has a unique serial number. This register allows us to verify authenticity, facilitate workshop interventions, and find the owner in case of loss or theft.

  • Second-hand sale / purchase: attach the original invoice to validate the change of ownership
  • Loss or theft: report it — if the watch reappears, we will contact the registered owner

Your Akrone watch is built to last.

Regular maintenance is enough to maintain the performance of your Akrone watch.
Follow a few simple guidelines to space out servicing—and extend its lifespan.

Magnetic field

Avoid magnetic fields

Magnetic fields can affect the movement and setting of your watch.
Keep it away from powerful sources: speakers, telephones, computers, security gates, household or office appliances.

Shocks

A mechanical movement is a precision mechanism. To preserve it, avoid any shock or vibration.
Remove your watch before any risky activity (sport, DIY, gardening, etc.).

Crown

The crown is the button located on the side of the case. When properly closed, there should be no gap between the crown and the case. Depending on the model, push it in or screw it in (by applying pressure and then turning it clockwise) to ensure water resistance.

Always handle the crown with care to avoid any risk of tearing.
Screw-down crowns are found on watches dedicated to diving (K-02 and C-02 collections).
Push-button crowns are found on aviation or dress watches such as the K-03, K-04, C-03 and C-04.

Avoid immersion with a push-button crown: it is not secure and can open inadvertently.

Never handle the crown underwater: water could seep in and lead to a costly repair.

Joints

Seals wear out over time. Have your watch's water resistance checked regularly.
Avoid contact with hot water: Do not wear your watch in the shower or bath. Heat can damage the seals and internal lubricants.

Cleaning

Steel or rubber bracelets, as well as waterproof watches, can be cleaned in cold or lukewarm water with a little Marseille soap. Dry with a soft cloth.
For leather straps, avoid contact with water. Condition the leather regularly and alternate with other straps to extend its lifespan.

Grooves

Micro-scratches may appear on steel surfaces over time.
They can be reduced using a suitable polishing cloth, which should be used with care.

Chemicals

Avoid contact with chemicals: solvents, detergents, perfumes, cosmetics, hydroalcoholic gel or fuel vapors.
They can degrade the case, bracelet, bezel, gaskets or surface treatment of the glass.

Temperature

Avoid sudden temperature changes.
Do not expose the watch to temperatures above 60°C or below 0°C.
Heat and UV rays can affect movement oils, seals and color stability.

Revisions

By respecting the principles of use for an automatic watch, no servicing is generally necessary before 4 to 5 years.
In the event of intensive or inappropriate use, a preventive check is recommended before this period: chronocomparator test and verification of watertightness.
Improper use may result in higher maintenance costs.
