The C-03 Tropical Horizon 39 mm draws on our experience designing watches for demanding environments. Its Grade 2 titanium case with DLC Gunmetal treatment features aeronautics-inspired hues, while offering lightness, strength, and discreet wearability. Its dial maintains aviation readability codes to guarantee reliable legibility in all conditions.

Black sandwich dial, with indexes filled with Super-Luminova® BGW9 for exceptional legibility day and night.

The Super-LumiNova's appearance varies depending on its color.
Lighter shades allow for faster recharging and offer intense, long-lasting luminosity. Darker shades, on the other hand, produce a more discreet effect, with more moderate light intensity. Good exposure to light is essential to fully activate the luminescence.

The choice of color also depends on aesthetic considerations: it is often about finding the right balance between luminous performance and visual harmony. For watches where the specifications require maximum night legibility, white Super-LumiNova is generally preferred.

In this case, if we compare the intensity of Luminova C-03, currently the most powerful on the market and therefore equivalent to 100% according to the LumiNova classification, the Luminova BG W9 used for this version offers a luminous output of approximately 95%.

WATERPROOFING

Water-resistant to 100 m (10 ATM), this watch, designed for pilots and travelers, benefits from the expertise acquired during projects carried out with various elite units of the French army. A true operational pilot's watch, made in Akrone.

To avoid any damage due to water infiltration,use while swimming should be limited to watches with screw-down crowns, such as those designed for diving. Push-in crowns, used on aviation watches, can open accidentally, by getting caught on clothing for example. And in water, an opening crown is almost guaranteed to lead to water infiltration. Prevention is better than cure.

BRACELETS

The watch comes with a flexible and particularly durable FKM rubber strap.

Optionally, a titanium bracelet with an adjustable deployment buckle is available at the preferential price of €85 including tax (instead of €130 including tax if ordered separately), as well as a selection of straps available in the “Straps and accessories” section.

A video tutorial is provided for adjusting the titanium bracelet. No adjustments are made remotely.

Please note that our straps are only offered in one size, suitable for wrist circumferences from 16 to 19.5 cm.
