AKRONE — Handcrafted Watchmaking, Made in Nantes

Founded in 2015 by Jean-François Kerboul and Erwan Kerneur, AKRONE takes its name from the Greek word achrone — "timeless". The K is a nod to their initials.

Each watch is designed, assembled, adjusted, and inspected in our workshop in Nantes. Design, manufacturing, after-sales service: everything is done in-house.

Professional watches for armed forces and aviation

For several years, AKRONE has been designing watches in collaboration with units of the French army — ALAT, Foreign Legion, PSIG, BRI, GIGN — and airlines: Transavia, Air France, Air Corsica.

Each project starts in the field. Soldiers, pilots, and specialized operators define their usage constraints. We translate these requirements into technical specifications: robustness, precision, legibility, and reliability in operational conditions.

For some projects, a portion of sales is donated to military mutual aid associations. To date: over €100,000 redistributed.

Design, technical development, assembly, quality control, after-sales service: everything is carried out in our Nantes workshop. A complete value chain, rare in France.

This organisation allows us to meet complex specifications, guarantee the consistency of each project and deliver on time.

For over 10 years, we have been working with military units, airlines and brands like SpaceFox on watchmaking projects with high technical requirements.

Watch movements: selection, adjustment, certification

Our movements are sourced from Sellita, Soprod, France Ébauches, Miyota, and Seiko—manufacturers renowned for the reliability of their calibers.

Each movement is adjusted in-house, following specifications informed by the experience gained alongside the Besançon Observatory, a French benchmark in chronometric certification.

Our components come from industrial partners selected for their performance and consistency.
