AKRONE is above all a story of passion.
Launched in 2015 by Jean-François Kerboul and Erwan Kerneur, the brand's name is inspired by the Greek achrone , meaning "out of time." The "K" replaces the "ch" in a nod to our initials.
Everything happens in Nantes, in our workshop.
Design, assembly, adjustment, quality control, after-sales service: every step is carried out here.

Leader in France
€100,000 in donations donatedFor several years, AKRONE has been working directly with the army — ALAT, Foreign Legion, PSIG, BRI, GIGN — as well as with civil aviation , such as Transavia, Air France or Air Corsica. These collaborations are born from exchanges with users to design robust , precise and reliable watches, perfectly adapted to their conditions of use.
When the project leader so wishes, a donation is made to military aid associations . More than €100,000 has already been donated—a simple gesture that is part of our commitment.

The AKRONE workshop is based in Nantes. This is where design, development, assembly, quality control, and after-sales service take place. Each step is handled in-house, allowing for complete control of the entire process, even for specific requests.

At the heart of know-how
The calibers used are carefully selected from proven references such as Sellita, Soprod, France Ébauches and Miyota, for their robustness. Each movement is then optimized in-house, with a custom calibration adapted to the requirements of the field.
The adjustment follows rigorous protocols, inspired by the Viper Seal of Besançon, to ensure optimal precision. Our watches are also field-tested, where their performance, stability, and reliability are validated in real-life conditions.
Finally, the finishes are not left to chance: the oscillating masses are optimized internally and benefit from personalized decorations.

The essentials, at the right price
The materials used are carefully chosen for their robustness and durability: titanium, 316L steel, ceramic and carbon, often from recycling channels dedicated to watchmaking.
Each model is tested in the field, in real conditions, by professionals, elite units, divers, civilian pilots, to meet precise specifications adapted to each use.
The finish is meticulous, with rigorous assembly and quality control at each stage.
All this, with one of the most competitive quality-price ratios, given our expertise and the technical choices we make.

The brand with multiple recordsSince 2015, AKRONE has launched the first French watchmaking Kickstarter , paving the way for a new generation of watch brands in France.
Here are some key steps in our journey:
• Two diving records with Frédéric Swierczynski
• Viper Certification awarded by the Besançon Observatory
• Official chronometer of the Solitaire du Figaro for three editions
• Recognized leader in custom-made watches for the armed forces
• Collaborations with craftsmen, notably Thomas Brac de la Perrière
Since 2023, AKRONE has been working with France Ébauches to promote the return of Made in France mechanisms and is part of the Fédération de l'Horlogerie to support the French industry.
In ten years, AKRONE has built an independent, demanding, and expertise-driven brand. New projects are already underway.
