Straps are wear items and are not covered by the watch warranty in respect of normal wear and tear.
Any manufacturing or conformity defects, where established, will of course be handled in accordance with the applicable statutory guarantees. Normal wear resulting from use and the natural ageing of the strap, however, is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Like clothing, footwear or any other item subject to regular friction and handling, a strap will naturally change and wear over time.
Stains, discolouration, cracking, tearing, deformation or deterioration resulting from normal use, as well as damage caused by misuse or improper handling — including exposure to water when the strap is not designed for it — are not considered manufacturing defects.
The lifespan of a strap depends on a number of factors, including its material, frequency of use, perspiration, humidity, UV exposure and the conditions in which it is worn. Replacement may therefore become necessary sooner or later depending on how the strap is used.
When replacement becomes necessary, you can find our selection in the “Straps & Accessories” section.
