PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

1. Identity of the data controller
The company AKRONE SAS (hereinafter “we” or “AKRONE”), whose full contact details appear in our Legal Notices, is responsible for the collection and processing of personal data carried out via the website www.akrone.fr (hereinafter the “Site”) or when purchasing products and services from us.

2. Legal framework and commitments
We respect:

  • The “Information Technology and Freedoms” law n°78-17 of January 6, 1978, as amended,
  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 (GDPR).

We are committed to implementing all appropriate technical and organizational measures to preserve the security of the personal information entrusted to us.

3. Data collected
Depending on your interaction with our Site or our services (account creation, order, simple visit, etc.), we may collect several categories of data, including:

  • Identity data: surname, first name, postal address, email, telephone number, etc.
  • Connection data: IP address, connection logs, device type, pages visited, etc.
  • Transaction data: payment methods (credit card, PayPal, etc.), order references, purchase history, etc.
  • Data relating to payment by check: copy of identity document (only if necessary to validate the transaction).

4. Purposes and legal bases of processing
We collect and process your data for the following purposes:

  • Creation and management of the customer account,
  • Processing, validation and execution of your orders,
  • Provision of additional services (e.g. sending a newsletter, promotional codes, etc.),
  • Improving our products and services.

The Site is hosted on Shopify, which acts as a subcontractor and applies measures compliant with the GDPR (in particular via Standard Contractual Clauses for any transfer of data outside the EU).

5. Recipients of the data
The data collected is intended for:

  • AKRONE and its authorized personnel,
  • Our subcontractors and partners (for example, Shopify host, payment providers, carriers, etc.) to ensure the management of the Site, the payment and delivery of orders, or the sending of newsletters.

We ensure that each of these recipients complies with current legislation and only uses your data for the contractually agreed purposes.

Under no circumstances does AKRONE resell or rent your personal data to third parties.

6. Retention periods
Your data is kept for a period proportionate to the purpose of the processing and in accordance with legal obligations:

  • Customer account: kept as long as you remain a customer and/or until a request for deletion or prolonged inactivity (3 years by default),
  • Orders: invoicing and order data kept for the legal or regulatory period (in particular for accounting purposes: 10 years),
  • Newsletter / marketing emails: until unsubscribed via the link provided or in the event of prolonged inactivity (3 years),
  • Cookies: lifespan and deletion methods indicated in the dedicated section.

7. User Rights
In accordance with the GDPR and the Data Protection Act, you have the following rights at any time regarding your data:

  • Right of access: obtain confirmation that your data is being processed and receive a copy,
  • Right of rectification: to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected,
  • Right to erasure (right to be forgotten): request the deletion of your data, subject to our legal obligations (e.g., accounting retention),
  • Right to restriction of processing: request the temporary suspension of processing of your data,
  • Right to object: to object to the processing of your data for commercial prospecting purposes,
  • Right to portability: receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format,
  • Right to withdraw your consent: for processing based solely on consent, at any time.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, the CNIL (National Commission for Information Technology and Civil Liberties), if you believe that your rights have not been respected.

8. Cookies and other trackers
The Site uses cookies to facilitate navigation, improve our services, and personalize your experience. A cookie management banner (compliant with the GDPR) appears during your first visit, allowing you to accept or refuse the use of non-essential cookies.

  • Nature of cookies and management: You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies. However, this may affect your user experience.
  • Web beacons: Some pages may contain web beacons to measure page traffic. The information collected is anonymous and is used for statistical purposes only.

9. Google reCAPTCHA
We use the Google reCAPTCHA tool (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to verify that a data entry (e.g., on a form) is made by a human.
This analysis takes place automatically in the background as soon as you access the Site, and includes various elements (IP address, time spent, mouse movements, etc.).
The collected data is transmitted to Google and used in accordance with their privacy policy and the reCAPTCHA terms of use.
Legal basis: Legitimate interest (article 6-1-f of the GDPR) aimed at protecting our Site against spam and automated abuse.

10. Newsletter / Marketing Emails
To send our newsletters, we use the Klaviyo solution, which is committed to complying with GDPR requirements.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of each newsletter.
The data processed in this context (mainly your email address) is then deleted or anonymized so that it no longer appears in our active lists.

11. Data security
AKRONE implements appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against loss, theft, unauthorized access or unlawful disclosure.
However, as no security mechanism offers absolute protection, we recommend that you also take precautions to protect your own devices and credentials (use of secure passwords, vigilance against phishing, etc.).

12. Changes to this Policy
This Privacy Policy may be amended or updated to reflect changes in our practices or to comply with regulatory changes. Changes will take effect as soon as they are posted on the Site. We encourage you to regularly review this page to review the most recent version.
