AKRONE WARRANTY CONDITIONS

AKRONE watches are crafted with passion, in accordance with the most demanding quality standards of French watchmaking. Each piece undergoes multiple checks during its manufacture, assembly, and before shipment.

1. AKRONE LEGAL GUARANTEE AND COMMERCIAL GUARANTEE

1.1 LEGAL GUARANTEE OF CONFORMITY (2 YEARS)
In accordance with Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code, all consumers benefit from a legal guarantee of conformity of two (2) years from delivery, covering any lack of conformity existing at the time of delivery.

1.2 AKRONE COMMERCIAL WARRANTY (1 ADDITIONAL YEAR)
In addition, AKRONE grants a commercial warranty of one (1) additional year, bringing the total duration of the warranty to three (3) years (i.e. 36 months) from the date of delivery.
Please note:

  • Specific benefits (such as extended commercial warranty, promotional offers, discount codes, etc.) granted to the first purchaser are not transferable in the event of resale on the second-hand market.
  • Any attempt at fraud or deception (falsification of invoice or warranty certificate, identity theft, etc.) may result in the commercial warranty being invalidated.

1.3 PURPOSE OF THE WARRANTY
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship affecting the proper functioning of the watch under normal conditions of use, as defined in the AKRONE documentation (user manual, FAQ, etc.).

1.4 STARTING POINT OF THE WARRANTY
The warranty begins on the date indicated on the warranty certificate, duly completed by AKRONE. During the warranty period, and upon presentation of a valid certificate, AKRONE undertakes to repair any covered defect free of charge. However, the availability of spare parts remains limited in time.

1.5 REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT
If the watch cannot be repaired under normal conditions of use, AKRONE will replace it with an identical model or one with similar characteristics.
Any repair or replacement carried out during the warranty period does not extend the duration of the warranty, except where required by law.

1.6 EXTENSION OF WARRANTY IN THE EVENT OF IMMOBILIZATION
In accordance with Article L.217-16 of the French Consumer Code, if, during the commercial warranty period, the watch is subject to a repair requiring immobilization of at least seven (7) days, the remaining warranty period will be extended accordingly. This period runs from the request for intervention or the watch being made available for repair.

2. WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS
The AKRONE warranty does not cover:

  • Improper use or lack of maintenance (failure to follow maintenance recommendations, periodic inspections, leak testing, etc.).
  • The absence of control or revision according to AKRONE recommendations, particularly in terms of sealing or movement adjustment.
  • Exposure to intense magnetic fields (speakers, refrigerators, computers, telephones, airport gates, etc.) exceeding the limits indicated in the model's technical data sheet.
  • Normal wear and tear and aging (scratches on the glass, alteration of the color or materials of the bracelets, etc.).
  • Bracelets and accessories, which are not covered by the watch warranty (except in the event of a manufacturing defect noted on an essential element at the time of purchase).
  • Damage resulting from incorrect use, abuse or accident (fall, impact, crushing, broken glass, immersion beyond the stated limits, etc.).
  • Apparent defects not reported within three (3) days of receipt.
  • Indirect or consequential damages related to the use, non-functioning or lack of precision of the watch.
  • Interventions carried out by a third party not approved by AKRONE or any unauthorized modification (change of internal parts, unapproved customization, etc.).
  • Theft, loss, force majeure, natural disasters or any event beyond the responsibility of AKRONE.
  • Any attempt at fraud or misuse of the guarantee (false statements, falsification of documents, repeated requests for excluded damages).

Important: Any unauthorized intervention or attempted repair by a third party will void the warranty.

3. LEGAL GUARANTEE OF CONFORMITY AND GUARANTEE AGAINST HIDDEN DEFECTS

3.1 LEGAL GUARANTEE OF CONFORMITY
The legal guarantee of conformity, provided for by Articles L.217-3 et seq. of the Consumer Code, applies when a sales contract is concluded between a professional and a consumer, and covers defects of conformity existing at the time of delivery.
Note: In the absence of a commercial transaction involving financial compensation (for example, in the context of lotteries, competitions, donations, product tests for influencers, etc.), no sales contract being formed, the legal guarantee of conformity does not apply, including during a resale on the second-hand market.

3.2 WARRANTY AGAINST HIDDEN DEFECTS
The goods remain covered by the guarantee against hidden defects, as provided for in Articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code, provided that the alleged defect renders the product unfit for the use for which it is intended and that this defect existed before delivery.

4. SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • Movement Drift: Each mechanical movement is adjusted for optimum precision. Drift tolerances are indicated in the technical data sheet for each model. Certain external factors (magnetic fields, shocks, etc.) may affect accuracy without constituting a defect covered by the warranty.
  • Waterproofing: Seals must be inspected annually. Any infiltration of water or dust due to poor maintenance is excluded from the warranty.
  • Bracelets and accessories: These elements are not covered by the watch warranty, except in the event of a manufacturing defect affecting an essential element of the product at the time of purchase, in which case the 2-year legal warranty applies.
  • Repatriation costs: After-sales service coverage depends on the initial delivery location. If the intervention is requested from another territory, return costs remain the responsibility of the customer.
  • Authenticity and Warranty Certificate Check: AKRONE reserves the right to request the presentation of any proof of purchase or official warranty certificate in order to verify the authenticity of the product and validate the warranty.

5. TRANSFER AND RESALE OF AKRONE WATCHES

5.1 NON-TRANSFERABLE BENEFITS
Specific benefits (commercial warranty extension, promotional offers, discount codes, etc.) granted to the first purchaser are not transferable in the event of resale. Since the initial sales contract is nominative, no commercial benefits follow the product in the event of resale.

5.2 AKRONE DISCLAIMER
AKRONE declines all responsibility for transactions carried out on the second-hand market. Both the seller and the buyer are encouraged to verify identity, good faith, and the absence of resale restrictions (particularly for special projects or military models). No claims may subsequently be made against AKRONE in this regard.

6. IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMMERCIAL GUARANTEE

To assert the commercial guarantee, the buyer must:

  • Contact AKRONE by email at: ilovewatches@akrone.fr
  • Complete the online form (if applicable)
  • Attach all necessary supporting documents, including proof of purchase (invoice or equivalent) and warranty card.

No duplicates will be provided. The invoice is sent by email after purchase and remains accessible on the customer account, if applicable.

After checking the watch and the validity of the warranty, AKRONE undertakes to carry out repairs as quickly as possible, in accordance with these conditions.

6.1 RETURN COSTS
Return shipping costs are covered by AKRONE only within the original delivery area and provided that the repair is actually covered by the warranty. The customer must provide the required supporting documentation (shipping invoice). Outside this area, return shipping costs remain the customer's responsibility.

6.2 CARE TIMES
Depending on the nature of the intervention, a period of 8 to 12 weeks may be necessary, particularly for a complete overhaul or if specific parts are unavailable. AKRONE makes every effort to process each after-sales service request as quickly as possible.

6.3 REFUSAL OF WARRANTY
If, following the expert appraisal, the breakdown or defect found falls under one of the exclusions mentioned or results from obvious fraud (falsification, misuse, etc.), AKRONE reserves the right to refuse coverage under the warranty and/or to claim payment of the costs incurred for the expert appraisal or repairs carried out.

6.4 EXPERTISE FEES IN THE EVENT OF AN UNCOVERED DEFECT
If, after examination, the breakdown or defect claimed does not fall within the scope of the warranty, AKRONE reserves the right to charge the customer for the expert assessment or estimate costs incurred to establish the diagnosis. The amount of these costs will be communicated to the customer in advance and may vary depending on the complexity of the intervention.
