At Akrone , we have made a strategic and differentiating choice: to integrate our own watch designer , Maxime Durand , from an automotive design background, into the team. His expertise and vision of design allow us to breathe a unique identity into our watches and to offer original creations, faithful to the Akrone DNA , which are off the beaten track.
INNOVATION AT THE SERVICE OF CUSTOM-MADE PRODUCTS
Thanks to Maxime Durand , we design exclusive models for our collections, but also tailor-made watchmaking projects , particularly for special and military projects . Akrone is today recognized for its expertise in customization, particularly with the army and civil aviation . With more than 100 personalized projects carried out for military units and professionals, we have acquired in 10 years a unique know-how in the design of robust, functional watches adapted to the most stringent requirements .
Our watches, created for special and military projects, are not simply variations of existing models. Each project is designed according to the specific needs of its user: materials, readability, shock resistance, water resistance, etc. Nothing is left to chance.
THE STORY OF A COLLABORATION BETWEEN DESIGN AND WATCHMAKING
Maxime Durand , our in-house designer, embodies this philosophy. Trained at the Institut Supérieur de Design de Valenciennes and initially destined for the automotive sector, he joined Akrone in 2016 after a memorable encounter on Instagram . Passionate about watchmaking, he has successfully transposed his expertise in industrial design to the world of watches.
