THE BESANÇON VIPER CERTIFICATION: A GUARANTEE OF EXCELLENCE
Among the most prestigious watchmaking distinctions obtained by Akrone, the Vipère de Besançon certification occupies a prominent place. This certification, issued by the Besançon Observatory, attests to the exceptional precision of a movement after a series of rigorous tests. We have already obtained this distinction for some of our collections, notably the K-02 and K-04 , thus consolidating our reputation in the field of precision watchmaking.
CRITERIA FOR OBTAINING BESANÇON VIPER CERTIFICATION
- 5-position control : to simulate different daily usage conditions.
- Tested under 3 different temperatures : to ensure optimal stability of the movement.
- Strict tolerance : the watch must display an accuracy of –4 to +6 seconds per day.
Only watches that successfully pass these tests are awarded the Viper Head hallmark, a symbol of excellence and reliability.

At Akrone, all our watches are held to the same high standards, whether certified or not. We apply very strict adjustment standards to all our models, whether they are equipped with Swiss, Japanese, or French movements.
Each movement is meticulously adjusted by our watchmakers to ensure optimal performance and increased longevity. Our inspection process includes:
